Understanding comes

PixelPrep teaches in small groups of up to 4 students, with a student portal for learning notes and practice questions. Lessons run in person in Hong Kong, at Causeway Bay or Central, or online from anywhere, in 65 or 95 minute sessions.
Students work through their syllabus with a tutor, then return to the portal between lessons to revisit notes and keep practising.

PixelPrep was co-founded by Louis and Felix. Louis, who studied Physics at HKUST, tutored at a center where switching tutors mid-year was common, and parents hated it: lessons kept resetting instead of building on what a student already knew.
He didn't test well in school himself, so he built his own way of studying, starting from the basics and understanding a topic properly instead of relying on exam technique. Felix studied Computer Science at CUHK. PixelPrep is built around that experience: a stable tutor for each group, and lessons focused on understanding, not shortcuts.
Our tutors come from different Hong Kong universities and have experience teaching the international school syllabus. Several have sat the exact IBDP, IGCSE, or International A Level exams they now tutor.

How do I get started?
Request a free consultation. After that, our team sets up your student portal.
How do I pay for lessons?
Lessons are paid from your student's Account Credit. In the portal, request a top-up, pay by PayMe or FPS using the reference code, and we'll update the credit after checking the payment.
Do you tutor OSSD students?
Yes. PixelPrep tutors OSSD Mathematics and Physics, in person in Hong Kong or online.

Practice questions for each course
RenAIsance writes new practice questions from the student's syllabus and PixelPrep's own teaching materials, as multiple choice, short questions and long questions.
Help with thinking things through
When a student is stuck, it works through the problem with them one step at a time. It follows PixelPrep's map of how topics connect, so if the trouble comes from an earlier idea, it goes back to that idea first.
A memory for each student
RenAIsance keeps a separate record for every student: the topics they're strong in and the mistakes that keep coming back. Its help is based on that record.
Progress tracked as they practise
As a student works, it measures how well they know each topic, so they can see where they stand without sitting extra tests.
